We’re going to have a party at Raygun Lounge. I know. It’s exciting.
But calm yourselves because it gets better: the party is going to benefit New Beginnings, an organization dedicated to ending domestic violence. They run a 24-hour Help Line, a 28 day Emergency Shelter, and transitional housing for women and children trying to escape abusive situations.
For the next two weeks, Gamma Ray Games and the Raygun Lounge will be:
1) Accepting items from the New Beginnings Wish List at both locations. The full list can be found here but includes Diapers (sizes 1, 2, and 3), Plain White art paper, new casual/tennis shoes for kids, family friendly games and toys, pillows, twin-sized blankets and linens, non-perishable food, new socks and underwear, and long distance calling cards.
2) Accepting monetary donations at both locations! Donations can come in the form of cash, checks or credit/debit cards, and you can even tack a small donation onto what you are already purchasing!
3) Bring in your used games and we’ll turn them into new games for New Beginnings! Come to Gamma Ray Games and drop off your used games and we’ll take the trade-in credit and put it towards new games to donate!
To celebrate all of the good you are going to do we’re going to throw a big party on Friday, May 2nd! We’ll have a bunch of activities going on, more chances to donate, and a portion of the proceeds will go to support New Beginnings!
